X2520-01 Foundation Stabilization & Repair-General John Pershing Boyhood Home State Historic Site

The project includes replacement of the existing stone masonry foundation of the home and a remedy for related drainage and moisture problems. The project includes stabilization/repair of the first-floor wood framing of the structure and installation of a new historically compatible foundation. The new foundation will be constructed by lifting the home off the existing foundation followed by demolition of the existing foundation and construction of a new full basement foundation then lowering the home and attaching it to the new foundation. Additional work includes repair and replacing of adjacent root cellar, cistern and brick paver sidewalks.
